Born David W. Taylor, Ciara began her playing career during high school, playing cover in their school choir and eventually acting in a couple of commercials. She started recording and performing at the beginning of 2005 with bands, including the group The Black Sheep and the Rolling Rainbow, and in 2007 after graduating as the eighth youngest ever singer in the UK with a degree in theatre.
