Modern Hollywood Whitewashing
Whitewashing is the filmmaking practice of casting white actors to play characters originally based on, or written as, persons of color. We normally think of it as being old fashioned, something that's just not done anymore. But as these examples show, whitewashing is still surprisingly common. After all, if Angelina Jolie is doing it (that's her in A Mighty Heart), you can't even describe it as taboo.
